Match Report

ASB's first fixture for a few weeks and was to be played away ay Colliers wood. Slowly but surely the squad arrived in sweltering conditions. once all were there the idea was flung around of picking the team from a hat. so after a managment agreement it was to be done, with some little adjustments the team started like this.....

Naz

Eddie
Sharkey
Jools
JJ

Riz
Donny
Weeman
Babyface

Frangi !!!!!!!
Crouchy

subs -
the unlucky 2 not in the hat were..........
Tweena
Slouch

The class in difference was clear from the off and after only 6 minutes the first goal went in. JJ had the ball roughly 30 yards out on the left and drilled a rasping grass cutter into the botton left corner for his 1st ASB goal. It was only two minutes later that Riz added to his total this season by heading in after great work by Babyface on the left 2-0.

What happened next was what many an ASB manager, Fan and player had been waiting for a long long time. A ball was played into Frangi's feet on the left hand side, but he dropped his shoulder in a way Cristiano Ronaldo would be proud of and from a good 20ish yards he whipped it past the oncoming keeper for a goal that everybody cheered as if it was a cup winning goal (well done Frangi a well deserved goal) 3-0 18 mins gone. Once again it was only two more minutes before the next ASB goal. Eddie at right back had about 3 months on the ball until he heard a shout from Tweena on the bench to shoot, and he did just from inside the halfway line and went straight in over the keepers head.

It wasn't till 40 mins had gone that ASB added another goal. Once again Eddie was in the thick of it after again great play on the right led to Donny gettin on the end of Eddie's supply and making it 5 to nothing. Right on half time Babyface made it 6 after Donny's hard work and skill gave an opportunity to add to the ASB tally. HT.

Two changes at Half time Slouch came on for (i'm not sure) and Tweena (threatened with substitution if he didnt score) came on for Crouchy. After a few close chances mostly from Tweena the next goal went in on 54 mins. Eddie had the ball from 25 yards and just hammered a rocket of a shot towards the goal with every player in between jumping out of the way and watched the goal fly into the bcak of the net. The next goal was on the hour mark, some neat play on the right gave Frangi the chance from the edge of the box to double his tally with a nice strong finish into the right hand side of the onion bag.8-0.

More subs were made with The Gaffer himself coming on after a 5 year playing absence for Tweena and Frangi taking a well earned rest. It only took Inga five or so minutes to make it 9 -0 to ASB. The strikers were lining up at the back stick but it was the ever gardening Titchmarsh who smashed home with a slight defelection off the
defenders legs. Inga was in the heart of the action once more with the assist for the tenth and final goal in this demolition of the dons B team. All in all a great performance.
